Poem of the Sea
So today I was sitting on my bed, doing nothing productive and pretty much killing my brain with math concepts, when a very special friend of mine started telling me about what a sucky day she was having. I had no clue how to cheer her up and was racking my brain for ideas. I then realized that I could write her a special poem about the sea. In about five minutes I had a pretty good one written out and I sent it to her. She seemed happy to get it, and it seemed to brighten her day up a little. So I'm glad I could be of assistance. ^_^ Here's the poem I wrote her.
Sail into the rising sun
To meet the gulls in sand and stone
To walk the shores with waves so deep
Into the eyes of winter's sleep
To see the storms part ways in tears
With winds and sounds to deafen ears
I see her waiting there for me
To love, to give, and to be free
Freedom in my arms so safe
And loved by Him who holds her fate
So sail into the setting sun
To bid farewell to sand and stone
